Safety Training
The workforce of Craig & Heidt is safety trained for all work tasks performed on each project.
Safety training is performed as needed throughout the year for all personnel. Craig & Heidt is a member of the Houston Area Safety Council, the Industrial Safety Training Council, the North American Substance Abuse Program (NASAP), as well as the National Safety Council.
In addition to being members of the above organizations, our employees also have their Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
Examples of safety training are as follows:

- Confined Space Entry
- Respirator Fit Test & Training
- Facility Security Awareness
- First Aid & CPR
- Site Specific Training
- Fall Protection
- Fire Extinguisher
All new employees receive basic training and HAZCOM as a one hour in-house safety orientation, prior to starting work at Craig & Heidt.
Weekly "toolbox" safety meetings are held at each jobsite. Quarterly safety meetings are held at the corporate office.
Craig & Heidt has a safety incentive plan to provide financial reward for working safely. Awards are made quarterly and annually.
