Craig & Heidt strives to employ only the most qualified personnel in the industry.  Much of our work is inside the industrial and petro-chemical plants in the ship channel area (LaPorte, Pasadena, etc.).  The plants are very concerned about safety and they have very strict requirements for their contractors (such as our company). 

All potential employees must have a TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).  All potential employees must also pass a level 1 background check.  Employees must read, write and understand English such that they can perform their job tasks safely without an interpreter.

Current Job Openings:

We are currently interviewing for the following positions:

• Laborer - To work on crews to assist in paving, drainage, & earthwork.  Manual labor to include shoveling, raking, pick work, sweeping, cutting & tying rebar, setting forms, driving stakes.  Also, cleanup of site, setting out & replacing small tools.  Run small powered equipment such as plate compactor, jumping jack, air compressor.  Some light equipment operation - skidsteer, backhoe, power broom, etc.

• Asphalt Crew Operator - Minimum 5 years experience with paving operations - paver, screed, distributor truck, rollers, etc.

• Earthwork Crew Operator - Minimum 5 years experience with dirt work operations - maintainer, dozer, backhoe, soil stabilization, etc.

• Heavy Equipment Operators - Dozers, backhoes, rollers, etc.  Civil Construction (roads, parking areas, etc) in Houston and surrounding areas.
